The Start Of Above

Hi! I’m Jack Lawrence. I’m a video director originally from the UK, now residing on the Gold Coast, Australia.  Since the age of 13, I have constantly had some form of camera with me. I started with the classic disposable camera from Boots pharmacy, then progressed all the way up to current REDs, Sony’s and DJI drones. I still feel that same excitement when putting my SD card into the computer as I did when opening the photos at the Boots counter. Capturing still or video moments is what gives me the motivation to get up in the morning which at the moment is around 4am to get the best light!

The thought of printing my own photos had never crossed my mind, but after a few people reached out on instagram and encouraged me I started to look at how to sell my artwork as rolled or framed prints. This led to building a website where customers could purchase my art and receive it without a long wait. This is the reason why I started Above by Jack Lawrence.

After weeks of research and testing different fine art paper, I eventually found the perfect printing partner with sites around the world... I’m not too sure how it will progress to start with, but having a platform to show and share my art and for people to have a chance to display it on their wall seems pretty cool to me!
